For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
~Ephesians 2:10
Do you ever feel worthless, hopeless, unappreciated? I think we all feel this way at some point in our lives when we struggle with situations that are beyond our control. As girls we seem to hold on to more things than we should; with all the hate in the world, it's kinda hard not to. We get caught up in our flaws and what we can't do, or what we can't be...Sound familiar? Of course it does, every girl goes through this it's part of this crazy misunderstood life that we take in from the start. Many girls have cut themselves, or committed suicide because they felt like there was no point in living this life, that they didn't have the chances that you have. But it's simply isn't true! You were made to be somebody, whether it's a doctor, singer, writer, or even the president! All those things are very important and are great opportunities, but the most important thing is to always work for the glory of God. That means you have a life to live, a life to live for God. Even though you might not understand at first who God wants you to be, you can start off by being a great Christian, not just towards your family and friends, but all people. It is very easy to slip away from what God has to say and start looking at what others say; but you are NOT worthless, hopeless, or unappreciated. You are one of a kind, created by the most wonderful glorious person that ever walked this earth!
Reflection:
Are you struggling with doubt, thinking that you are a 'nobody', or are you going to be 'somebody' that lives their life for God?
Application Step:
Look for more ways to honor God! Whether it is helping out at church or just helping a friend, be who God wants you to be, because you were born to be somebody!
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I just ask you to please help me through all the lies this world is telling me. Help me focus more on you, and what you want me to be and do. Help me to realize that I was born to be somebody wonderful that will do glorious works unto you, and to live my life according to your plan that you have set out for me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
